Research


1. Which building typology are you researching?
I'm looking at community centers, recreation facilities, schools, libraries, gardens, and sustainable buildings.

2.Why are you researching this building typology?
I want to design a community building that can service the community but also teach them more about becoming green. They can grow their own food. Learn about living a healthy life by using the fitness areas in the building and eating healthy food in the cafeteria. They can be educates to the new Eco-friendly technologies as well as the effects we how on our environment.

3.What is the specialty of this building type you would like to research for?
Community center with garden that is sustainable.

5. What are your goals for working with this building type?
Learn how to layout the spaces in the correct places. I want to be able to create a functional building that has as much sustainable technology and materials as possible.

6. What are the program elements that you see included at this point in your building?
Community gardens on each floor, classrooms, computer room, meeting room (small auditorium), Cafeteria, Library, daycare and small fitness areas.
